Leone H. Glinski

Leone H. Glinski, 82, of Stevens Point, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Portage County Health Care Center where she had been a resident since May of 2011. Mrs. Glinski was also attended by Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.

She was born on Oct. 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Bronislaus and Marianne (Felckowski) Guzman. Leone was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy.

On Nov. 11, 1947, her marriage to Clarence Glinski took place at St. Peter Catholic Church. Clarence passed away on Oct. 30, 2011. They had two children, Allan (Susan) Glinski of Wisconsin Rapids, and Marilee (Thomas) Kort of Bolingbrook, Illinois; three grandchildren, Ann (Phillip) Hartley, Joseph (Maisee) Glinski and Kimberly Kort; and five great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Maria Hartley, Britney Rude, Benjamin Glinski and Mouahlou Xiong.

Mrs. Glinski was a homemaker. She loved crafting, especially crocheting, and gifted many handmade afghans, dishcloths and other custom creations to her family and friends. She also donated many items to raffles and charities.

In addition to her parents and husband, Leone was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Guzman and Sr. Mary Camille Guzman of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis; and one brother, Raymond Guzman.

Leone was a member of the St. Peter’s Rosary Society and the Lincoln Center/Center Point Walking Club.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Stevens Point. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, 703 2nd Street, Stevens Point, and again in the St. Faustina Room of the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass. The St. Peter’s Rosary Society will combine with the parish rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. For online condolences, please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.
