Josephine F. Schelke, 100, of Stevens Point, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Harmony Living Center.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1911, in Derby, Conn., to the late Frank and Mary (Wszolek) Sojka.

In 1942, Josephine graduated from cosmetology school in Chicago, Ill., and owned a beauty salon there for many years. She later owned and operated the Log Cabin (supper club and resort) north of Stevens Point before her retirement.

She had volunteered for the Holly Shoppe in Stevens Point and had also been a member of the St. Casimir Rosary Society.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, in the town of Hull, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass.
