Noel G. (Garth) Petersen

Of Stevens Point, died Saturday evening, July 14, 2012 at his home.

Age 82, Noel was born September 27, 1929 in Ludington, MI. He was the son of the late Johannes Edgar Petersen and Leona Blanche (Hill) Petersen.

Noel served in the United States Army from September 1950 to February 1954, serving as a 2nd Lieutenant. Upon completing his military service, he returned to Michigan and served as the District Attorney for Calhoun County for many years. He moved to the Stevens Point area in 1994.

Surviving are his brother: Keith Petersen of South Milwaukee, WI, and his sister: Edrid “Diane” (Charles) Smith of Pentwater, MI. Many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family service held.
