Martha M. Barnes, age 79, a resident of Rosholt, WI passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI.

Martha was a very kindhearted and compassionate person who loved life and loved her dogs. She was a devoted keeper to Muffin and Murphy. Her laughter and smile will by sadly missed by all.

Martha was born and raised in Chicago, IL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Barnes; parents, Joseph and Michalena Jurczynski; dear sister, Harriet March; two brothers, Joseph Jurczynski and Henry Jurczynski; and son-in-law, Gary Clay.

She is survived by sisters, Dorothy Meyers of Chicago, IL, and Marcyanna Williams of Kansas City, MO; five children, Roberta (Lonnie) Shelton, Jayne Clay, Chuck (Lauren) Barnes, Bob (Susie) Barnes, and Steve (Angie) Barnes, all of Gulfport, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home at 703 Second Street, Stevens Point, WI, (715) 344-4595. Deacon Jim Trzinski officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of services Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N2665 County Road QQ, King, WI.
