Albert L. Feltz, age 92, passed away peacefully in his home and joined his wife, Jean, on November 8, 2021.
He was born and remained a lifelong resident of Stevens Point to the late Alex and Dorothy (Zimbauer) Feltz on July 10, 1929.
He married Jean (Dobeck) Feltz on May 19, 1951. They were married for 70 years until Jean's death October 16, 2021.
Two weeks after his marriage he was drafted and served in the United States Army where he was deployed to the Korean Conflict for his tour of duty. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant E5 in 1953.
On his return from service, he worked alongside his wife and father to build Feltz Lumber Company. During this time, he was innovative in developing land, building homes and apartments in the area. He was very passionate about everything he did and put one hundred percent into all his endeavors.
He is survived by his children, P.J. Marino, Peter (Dar) Feltz, Tom (Sherry) Feltz, Mary (Dick) Ostlund and Kathy Tolkkinen and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is further survived by his sisters, Gladys Flisakowski, Irene (Morris) Piotrowski and Jean (Fran) Mattke.
Preceded in death by his brother Robert, sisters Mary Konkol, Bette Bronk, Evelyn Gurney and Alice Lepinski and his parents Alex and Dorothy (Zimbauer) Feltz.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Pisarski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Stephens cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services. Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
