Andrea J. Singer

Andrea J. Singer, 79, of the town of Hull, passed peacefully into eternal life Saturday November 11, 2023, at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital with her loving sister by her side.

Andrea, born April 26, 1944, was the daughter of the late Ben and Evelyn (Simonis) Richter. She was a 1962 graduate of Wittenburg High School. Andrea married the love of her life, Richard Singer, on November 24, 1962, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2013.

Together they lovingly raised six children: Renee (Jerry) Brzezinski, Janet (Craig) Hintz, Greg (Holly) Singer, Lori (Don) Feltz, Rick Singer, and Melissa (Travis) Fletcher.

Their faith and love carried through their children who blessed them with 18 grandchildren: Angie (Rob) Stieve, JJ (Rachel) Brzezinski, Nick Brzezinski, Sarah (Devan) Dzwonkowski, Matt (Jordan) Brzezinski, Ellie (Ryan) Schmid, Alex Brzezinski, Andy Brzezinski (Leah Pavelski), Travis (Libby) Hintz, Noah Hintz (Jaden Bindrich), Abigail Hintz (Seth Stevens), Cory Singer, Felicia Singer (Caleb Zdroik), Spencer Singer, DJ (Amy) Feltz, Tyler (Jenelle) Feltz, Makaylah Singer (Jesse Zuehlke), and Izzy Fletcher, and 14 great-grandchildren: Grace Stieve, Leo, Brigid, Paul and Magnolia Brzezinski, Dawsen, Madysen, and Emersen Dzwonkowski, Carson, Cameron, and William Brzezinski, Bennett Hintz, and Easton and Brynley Feltz.

Andrea was a dedicated homemaker most of her life taking care of her children, and later her grandchildren. As the grandchildren entered school age she ventured out and held jobs at Herrschners, Goodwill, and Fleet Farm. She also shared her love with others by being a foster grandmother at Bannach Elementary School.

Andrea enjoyed gardening, playing games such as bingo and cards, putting puzzles together, fishing,

polka and country music, feeding and watching wildlife especially rabbits and hummingbirds, and most importantly spending time with family and friends. She was a woman of Faith who practiced regularly and enjoyed watching the Catholic EWTN channel. Besides her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Andrea is survived by her sister Lorraine Yenter, brothers-in-law Norbert (Loretta) Singer, and Gerald (Pat) Wanta Sr., as well as many extended family members and friends.

Besides her husband, Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, Joseph and Bertha (Grulkowski) Singer, her sister Carol Wanta, and brothers Richard and Randal Richter, as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital, especially her nurse, Jamie, who took such good care of Andrea and the family during her stay. They also extend their appreciation to her team of caregivers from Compassus Home Health, and Promedica for the excellent care given to her in her final few weeks.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Andrea will be held on Thursday November 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church-Torun, 5589 Dewey Drive Stevens Point. Rev Thomas Nirappel will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
