Anton Bronk

Anton (Tony) Bronk, age 78, of the town of Sharon, died on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Aspirus Comfort Care/Hospice House in Wausau.
Tony was born on April 14, 1944, in the town of Sharon. He was the son of the late Henry and Balbina (Tryba) Bronk. Tony began his education      at Twin Lakes School and later attended Lincoln School in Stevens Point.

Tony spent most of his life on the family farm. He often helped out on neighboring farms and was also employed for many years at Community Industries in Plover. Following the death of his sister, Rita, in 2015, Tony moved into assisted living facilities. He has lived at Generations Assisted Living, under the direction of Jody Kluck for the past 7 years.

Tony enjoyed life, and especially good food! He was a polka music fan and spent many summer afternoons at area church picnics and local fairs, with his sister, Rita. Tony loved fishing for bullheads at Twin Lakes and had an interest in trains. One of his prized possessions was a cuckoo clock that had been on the farm for many years.

Survivors include his brothers, Rhode (Maxine) of Morris, IL, Myron (Joyce) of Schofield, and his sisters, Georgianne Wilson of Plover, and Violet (Dale) Voss of Amherst. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews: Sue (Wilson) Faulkner, Dr. Krys Bronk, Nikole Gaigg, Alison Bean, Jaime Voss , Katherine Prutzman, Tyler Voss, Benjamin Bronk, and Kelly Bronk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Sally Bronk, who passed away in infancy, Elsie Bean, Ramona Bronk, Rita Bronk, and his brother-in-law, Ronald Wilson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday January 26, 2023, at Sacred Heart Church 7379 Church Street Custer, with Reverend Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church.
