Arlene M. Niedbalski, age 82, of Stevens Point, died Monday, February 14, 2022 at Arborview Court, Wisconsin Rapids, under the loving care of Heartland Hospice, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Arlene was born on March 13, 1939 in Waukesha, The daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Vicker) Pitsch. Arlene attended and graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in 1957.
On October 27, 1962 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point, the former Ms. Pitsch married the Love of her life, Joseph "Jack" Niedbalski. The couple made their home in Stevens Point where Arlene helped raise their 5 children, later moving to their dream home in Amherst.
She was a former member of St. Maximillian Kolbe, St. Stanislaus (Holy Spirit) and St. Peter Catholic churches and their Rosary Societies. Arlene enjoyed sewing, having several part time jobs doing alterations and embroidering, attending numerous activities of her children, grandchildren and friends. She was also an active member of the Class of 1957 Reunion Committee.
Arlene is survived by; her children, John (Sue) Niedbalski of Stevens Point, Julie (Lance) Dobbe of Mosinee, Mark (Kelly) Niedbalski of Jonesboro, GA, Monica (Tim) Lehman of Stevens Point and Chris (Gretchen) Niedbalski of Wisconsin Rapids; 15 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by; her husband and brother, a niece and nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church, 800 4 th Ave, Stevens Point, on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:00AM with Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam presiding. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter Church, from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass on Wednesday.
Arlene's family wishes to thank the Doctors and staff of Heartland Hospice, and Ann C., Ann R., Jamie, Dakota and Suzanne, for their Love, Care and Compassion and especially, for giving our mother and grandmother her dignity, in the final months of her life.
