Arlene E. Pisarski, born on December 30, 1940, in Rochester, NY, peacefully passed away at Willowbrooke Assisted Living in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on April 22, 2024.
Arlene is survived by her devoted son, Timothy Fisher, and his loving spouse, Lisa Fisher. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Steve and Alicia (Pisarski) Schurch, and her cherished granddaughters, Alyssa Fisher and Lindsey Fisher and grandsons, Matthew Schurch and Adam Schurch. Arlene's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
After graduating from Coral Gables Senior High in Miami, Florida in 1958, Arlene embarked on a pioneering journey as one of the few select women to join United Airlines as a Stewardess in the jet set era. She soared through the friendly skies until her marriage in 1963. Following her time with the airlines, Arlene enjoyed a fulfilling career in real estate and banking in South Florida before relocating to Stevens Point, Wisconsin in 1976.
Arlene will be fondly remembered by her colleagues at the Portage County Courthouse, where she worked in the Office of the Register of Deeds. It was during her time here that she met her beloved husband, Gene Pisarski, whom she married in 1985. Together, they shared 12 wonderful years before Gene's passing in 1997. Arlene continued her dedicated service at the Register of Deeds until her retirement in 2002.
In her retirement, Arlene found joy in occasional trips to the casino with friends. She had a deep affection for animals, having adopted several dogs and cats throughout her life. Arlene also nurtured a menagerie of birds, squirrels, and rabbits, ensuring they were well-fed and cared for.
Known for her quick wit and sense of humor, Arlene delighted her friends with her jokes and entertaining stories. Her infectious laughter brought light to many gatherings and will be greatly missed.
Arlene will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Gene, in a graveside service at Guardian Angel Cemetery on Saturday, April 27, at 1 PM. Pastor Dave Ficken will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Arlene's memory to an animal rescue organization or a charity of your choice.
Arlene E. Pisarski will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her legacy will continue to inspire. May she rest in eternal peace.
