Barbara J. Jelinski

Barbara Jean Jelinski , 65 of Plover, passed away on May 14, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston after a courageous health battle. Barbara was born in Marshfield, WI to James and Eunice (Joosten) Hughes. She graduated from SPASH in 1978. Barbara married the love of her life, Patrick Jelinski, on December 1st, 1984 in Junction City. Together they raised their loving children in the Plover area.

Barbara's career included working at the Holiday Inn, St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, IGA/Copps, Ministry Dental, and Christopherson Dental. She was known to be very generous and kind. She was always willing to help out no matter what.

Barbara was active in 4H in her early years. She was an active member at St. Bronislava Parish, where she was a catechist for over 20 years. She chaperoned many youth mission trips and helped with many parish events. Barbara was an avid Packers fan and cheered them on for every game. She loved playing poker with family on Sundays.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Patrick and her mother, Eunice Hughes. She is further survived by her daughters, Heidi Petterson and Haley (Devyn) Jelinski. Barbara is remembered as a beloved grandma and survived by her grandkids, Mason, Aubree, Raeleigh, and Keke. She is also survived by her siblings Rick (Kim) Hughes, Randy (Candy Baas) Hughes, and Kim (Steve) Hodgson.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, James Hughes, and her grandparents.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Marshfield Medical Center-Weston for the compassionate care of their mother, Barbara, during this difficult time.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Bronislava Catholic Church, 3200 Plover Road, Plover. A visitation will be on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Pisarski Community Funeral Home- 2911 Plover Road from 4:00PM- 6:30 PM with a rosary being prayed by Father Juan Pedro at 6:30 PM. The visitation will continue the next day at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
