Bonnie (Mattison) Jurkowski passed away on September 1, 2025. She was born on December 29, 1954, in Beloit, Wisconsin. Bonnie was a warrior, coming face to face with non-curable pancreatic cancer.
Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Joel Jurkowski (Amherst Junction). Bonnie and Joel Jurkowski were married on September 23, 1988 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Together, they subsequently attended The Word Lutheran Church in Stevens Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Mattison, as well as her by her brother-in-law Henry Leindecker.
Her two sons: Ryan (Holly) Hoffman and their three daughters Taylor (John) Barnabei, Sydney and Payton. Justin (Randi) Hoffman and their son Gunnar.
She is also survived by her stepson Jason Jurkowski and her stepdaughter Jill (Tony) Mascari and their three sons: Mark, Samuel and Luke.
Her sister, Judy Leindecker. Her Aunt, Marilyn Mattison. She also has numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including Jason (Tamara) Jensen; Jacob (Amanda) Jensen.
Bonnie graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1973.
On Saturday, October 11, 2025, a Celebration of Life event will be held at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6802 W. Forest Home Avenue, Greenfield, Wisconsin 53220. The event will be held from 9:00am to 12 noon. Beginning at 11:00am, church service will begin followed by Bonnie's ashes being placed in a Columbarium located on church grounds.
There will be a luncheon after the service.
Bonnie was a wonderful woman and will be missed by all.
