Carol A. Olsen

October 23, 1945 — November 30, 2023

Stevens Point

Carol Ann Olsen, born under a shooting star in Stevens Point, passed away peacefully November 30, 2023. Carol was born October 23, 1945, daughter of the late Thorwald and Marguerite (Meyer) Olsen.

Carol attended PJ Jacobs High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a degree in Sociology.

Carol's vivacious life included volunteering for Meals On Wheels, working as a lifeguard, golf course ranger, and as a personal line's underwriter for Sentry Insurance. In her free time, Carol was a crossword puzzle aficionado, a Master Bridge card player, a gardening guru, and loving Grammy. She was the quintessential life of the party, slaying in the art of conversation and spirited debate.

Survivors include her children, Mark (Ann) and Jennifer (Wes), and four amazing grandchildren. Also, brothers Ralph (Donna) Olsen of Stevens Point, Tom (Kathleen) Olsen of Engelwood FL, James (Karen) Olsen of Waupaca, and sister Norma Olsen of Seattle Washington.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lenore (Dan) Jirovec of Stevens Point.

Carol's skill as a gifted golfer was apparent. No doubt she is currently playing her best game ever.
