Carol Schultz

Carol A. Schultz, of Stevens Point, in her own fashion of enjoying a party, died September 25, 2021, on her 80 ^th birthday at the House of the Dove Hospice Center in Marshfield to meet her husband, Ernie.

Carol was the daughter of the late Vern and Jean (Berna) Starry. She attended St. Peters Grade school and graduated from Maria High School in 1959.

Her marriage to Ernest "Ernie" J. Schultz took place on September 21, 1963 at St. Peters Catholic church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband Ernie preceded her in death on November 23, 2018.

Carol worked for Sentry Insurance for a short time, but was a staple for over 30 years at J. C. Penney in the men's clothing department. In her later  years she was also a Bailiff for the Portage County Courthouse for 10 years.

In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, pontoon rides, taking care of her flowers and baskets, and making homemade pizza and chocolate chip cookies. She would even plan bus trips from scratch, from lining up the bus, to signing up family and friends and scheduling various trips around Wisconsin.

Carol loved the holidays, but Halloween was her favorite as she would dress up every Halloween for the trick or treaters who came to her home.

Survivors include her children; Lori Fisher, Jeff (Ann) Schultz and Becky (Todd) Okray, and her three grandchildren, Megan Schultz, Alyssa and Lindsey Fisher and one great granddaughter Mia.

Further survived by one brother Ronald (Mary) Starry, three brothers-in law; Dave Schultz Jr. of Stevens Point, Paul (Pat) Schultz of Spotsylvania, VA, and Chet (Cheryl) Schultz of Wisconsin Rapids, and sister in laws Ruthann (Terry) Nelson of Madison, Alice (Jeff) Johnson of Junction City, Fay Schultz of Stevens Point, Barb Schultz of Stevens Point and Joyce Starry of Sarasota, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie, two brother Kenneth and Art, two brothers in law Vic and Joe Schultz, and one sister-in-law Darlene Schultz.

A private family only committal was held at Guardian Angel Cemetery. The Pisarski Funeral Home was honored to be serving the family.
