Chester W. Wiernik

Chester Wiernik 81 of Stevens Point passed away Monday morning, November 4, 2024 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Chester was born on May 27, 1943 in the Town Of Carson, Junction City to Joe and Sophie (Adamski) Wiernik. He was a 1961 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School. His marriage to Caroline Eron took place on August 17, 1963.

Chester worked various jobs locally until becoming a plumber, working for Church's Plumbing, then for Eron And Gee Hermans until retirement in 2005. Chester was an outdoorsman, enjoying gardening and caring for his yard. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He was very proud of all their accomplishments.

Chester is survived by his wife Caroline and his children Duane and Brian both of Junction City, Leanne Marquard (Gary) of Northville Michigan. He is also survived by his six grandchildren- Jesse (Taylor), Cody (Amy), Taylor (Matt Poetzl), Stephanie, Heidi, and Katie. He is further survived by his brother Donald of Stevens Point, sister Lorraine Kerchefski and James (Geraldine) Wiernik both of Junction City, along with many nieces and nephews.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David and Richard, his sister Rosie Eron, Sisters-in-law Lorraine and Leona Wiernik, Dorothy Shubert and Brothers-in-law Clarence Eron, Barney Kerchefski, Richard Schubert, and Great Granddaughter Aubrey Wiernik.

Mass of Christian Burial For Chester will be held at 11:00AM on Friday November 8, 2024 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Millcreek. Rev Dennis Stanchik will be officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30AM Friday morning at St. Bartholomew Church until the time of services.
