Clarence Ostrowski, 87, of Amherst, died Friday January 1, 2021, at Weston Medical Center. Clarence was born August 18, 1933, in Milwaukee. He was the son of the late Thomas and Helen (Pestka) Ostrowski.

Clarence entered the United States Army on December 5, 1950, and was honorably discharged on December 4, 1954. His marriage to Betty Salomon took place on December 31, 1992 in Chicago, IL.

Clarence worked at Fort Dearborn in Nile, IL., for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Polonia, Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Parish, the Polish Legion of American Veterans (PLAV) Post 185, Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion Nelson Kaminski Post 509 of Rosholt.

Clarence enjoyed fishing, hunting and polka dancing, loved going to all the church picnics and the Blue Top.

He is survived by his wife Betty Ostrowski of Amherst, his stepsons; Robert (Robin) Salomon, Terry (Jill) Salomon and Christopher (Nikki) Salomon; grandchildren Jack Ostrowski, Michael, Brie and Payton Salomon and a niece Anne (Paul) Cadotte of Bayfield, WI.

He was preceded in death by a son David, two brothers Eugene and Richard and two sisters Leona Vogds and Bernice Depa.

Services will be held in the spring at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia.
