Conrad "Connie" M. Domaszek
Age 79 of Stevens Point passed away early Friday morning, February 19, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Connie was born March 28, 1941 in the Town of New Hope to Walter and Mary (Kozelek) Domaszek. He attended schools in the Rosholt area graduating in 1959 from Rosholt High School. It was during the high school years, Connie met the love of his life, Rita A. Kosobucki. They were married on August 26, 1961 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, and in 2020 celebrated their 59 th year of marriage.
Connie entered the National Guard on August 20, 1961 in Stevens Point. He served under the Battery B 120 th Arty Division as a Staff Sargent. He received the Carbine M 1 Expert Badge in 1965 and the Rifle M 1 Marksman Badge in 1966. He was honorably discharge on August 19, 1969.
Connie worked at Consolidated Papers – Wisconsin River Division in Mill Services for many years retiring in 1999. Connie was most happy when he was helping other people! During his retirement he enjoyed traveling across the United States with Rita. He also spent many hours fishing and hunting with family and friends. He always treasured time spent with his daughters on Little St. Germaine Lake as well as the many Canadian fishing trips with his brothers and nephews. He also loved attending his grandson's Evan sporting events.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Spirit Parish, and a lifetime member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans (PLAV) Polonia Post 185.
Survivors include his wife Rita, their children Denise (Paul) Lukowitz of Green Bay, and Julie (Craig) Loiselle of Amherst and one grandson Evan Loiselle. Further survived by brothers Paul (Nancy) Domaszek of Custer and Walter (Terri) Domaszek of Neillsville and his sister Dolores (Bernard) Brzezinski of Mosinee, and two Sister-in-Laws Grace Domaszek and Virginia Sikorski.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Chester.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday February 24, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Steve Brice officiating. Burial with Military honors will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 A.M at Holy Spirit Church until the time for mass. Masks will be required at Holy Spirit Church and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Conrad's name will be established at a later date.
