Dan "Hook" Sawyer

Dan "Hook" Sawyer 62, passed away at his home on January 8, 2025. He was born January 1, 1963, to Archie and Mary Sawyer.  He married his best friend and love of his life Lynn Zelinski on June 21, 1986.

Dan was a man of many passions; and you could say he was a jack of all trades; you could often find him tinkering with something in the garage from tractors to four wheelers, to motorcycles. He loved to ride his Harley, which is a passion he shared with his son Dan. His most recent venture was farming and gardening with his daughter Sara. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren especially fishing with them at the cabin. Dan was a man that when you met him you never forgot him. He always had a story or joke or great advice. His smile and boisterous laugh will never be forgotten, and Dan will be greatly missed.

Dan is survived by his wife Lynn, son Dan (Samantha) Sawyer, their children Kaydence, Caleb, Zander, & Gavin, daughter Sara (Leslie) Geis, their children David & Christe, his mother Mary, three brothers Jr (Pat) Sawyer, Steve (Shirley) Sawyer, Ed (Elaine) Sawyer, mother-in-law Esther Zelinski, two sisters-in-law Susan (Eric) Ristow, Jane Zelinski, brother-in-law Jeff (Sonia) Zelinski, and many nieces and nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his father Archie Sawyer, father-in-law Chester Zelinski, and brother-in-law Kenneth Zelinski.

Private funeral services were held by the family. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family.
