Darlene H. Rutta

Darlene H. Rutta, age 74, of Stevens Point, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at her home with her daughters at her side.

She was born on March 22, 1946 in Stevens Point a daughter of William and Margaret (Jewell) Scribner.  Darlene was a graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School. She was married to Richard J. Rutta, Jr. on October 17, 1964 in Stevens Point.

Darlene retired from the U.S. Postal Service where she was a Rural Route driver.  Prior to the Post Office, she worked at Del Monte, Ore-Ida, Portage County Home and St. Michaels Hospital.

Darlene loved being with her family, playing games on the computer, doing puzzles and watching the birds, squirrels and deer.  Her grandsons were what gave her the greatest joy.

She is survived by; her daughters, Sherry Rutta and Diana Rutta both of Stevens Point; six grandsons, Joshua Dahms, Jacob Dahms, Kevin Plasky, William Plasky, James Plasky and Joel Plasky; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by; her parents, Husband Richard in 1993; her son, John in 2009; son-in-law, Keith Plasky, Sr. in 1993; and her brother, Richard Scribner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church, 800 4 ^th Ave, Stevens Point at 10:30AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 with Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam presiding. Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point from 9:00AM until 10:15AM on Tuesday.
