David Paul Schulfer, age 81, of Plover, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Maple Ridge with his loving family surrounding him. David was born on April 24, 1940 at the family farm in Whiting. A son of the late Henry F. and Rose E. (Lazarewicz) Schulfer. Dave attended local schools and at an early age attended the Lacrosse Seminary. On September 22, 1962, David was united in marriage to Linda L. Wallace at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Stevens Point. The couple made their home in Stevens Point and also in Mosinee before moving to Plover. Dave was employed as a Steam Fitter with Consolidated Paper River Division Mill in Whiting for 42 years. Because of his love of snowmobiling, he and Linda opened "Lindave Sales and Service" where he could utilize his knowledge of small engines and his love of snowmobiles. When not working, he and Linda would travel with the kids, visiting every State in the USA over the years. Dave enjoyed fishing, anything snowmobiles (especially Scorpions) and being with family and especially the grand and great-grandchildren.
David is survived by; his wife of 59 years, Linda; children; Steven (Patti) Schulfer of Amherst Junction and LeAnne (Stacey) Waklee of Plover; grandsons, Patrick (Eryn) Schulfer and Michael Schulfer; step grandchildren, Eric (Samantha) Waklee and Kristen Waklee; great grandchildren, Autumn and Willow; step great grandchildren, Carter and Daxton; his siblings, Daniel Schulfer, John (Judy) Schulfer and Mary (Leonard) Literski; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; and sister-in-law, Janice Schulfer.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover, 2911 Plover Rd. Plover from 9:00AM -11:00AM The Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 11:00AM. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
