David R. Schultz, Jr.

David R. Schultz, Jr., age 79, of Stevens Point, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Stevens Point Health Services in Stevens Point.

David was born on May 27, 1943 in Stevens Point, a son of the late David R. and Helen (Karch) Schultz.

He attended schools in Stevens Point and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1961. He was a Union Carpenter for Local #804, retiring in 1998.

In 1965 he married Joann Wierzba which ended in divorce. The couple had two children, Duane of Rhinelander and Kelly (Jeff) Disher of Rosholt. In 1996 he married Darlene (Maciejewski) Biese. Darlene preceded him in death in 2019.

He enjoyed fishing, going for walks, crossword puzzles and telling stories. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting, playing cards, shooting pool and watching Old Western movies.

He is survived by his two children; three granddaughters, April (Caleb) Guilliams, Baylie (Luke) Holnbach and Riley Disher; great-grandson, Beau Holnbach; siblings, Ruth (Terry) Nelson, Paul (Pat) Schultz, Alice (Jeff) Johnson and Chester (Cheryl) Schultz; sisters-in-law, Fay Schultz and Barb Schultz; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents; wife Darlene; brothers, Victor, Ernest and Joseph; and sister-in-law, Carol Schultz.

Funeral Services for David will be held at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 with Chaplin Dave Baker officiating. Private Family burial will be at a later date.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at the funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30AM until the time of the Service.
