Donald F. Farmer, born on July 31, 1942, in Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at his home in Stevens Point on October 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year, Don faced his illness with courage and grace.
Don was a devoted husband to Trixie, whom he married on October 31, 1970. Together, they shared 54 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and memorable vacations with family and friends. He was a proud father to two sons, Richard and Brian, and cherished grandfather to four grandchildren, Nikki, Jakki, Markki, and Zak.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, a testament to his strength and dedication. After his military service, Don enjoyed a fulfilling career as a semi-truck driver and maintenance mechanic, retiring from Tombstone Pizza.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Trixie, his brother Frank, and a host of extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents, Vera and Donald Farmer Sr.
In accordance with Don's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. His family will honor his memory in their own personal ways. Special thanks are extended to the friends and family who provided unwavering support during his journey, and to his loyal dog, Chevy, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship.
