Donald S. Meshak, age 80, of Stevens Point, left his wonderful family on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc.

He was born on September 26, 1941, on the family farm in Stevens Point, a son of the late Bernard "Barney" and Esther (Perzinski) Meshak.

Don attended schools in Fancher and Tomorrow River and graduated from Amherst High School in 1960. He worked at various farms after graduation, for three years and, in 1964, joined the U.S. Army attending Carpentry School at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO then serving in Thailand, during the Vietnam war building bridges, roads and driving motor graders. He was honorably discharged in 1966.

Upon his return, Donnie was employed at Consolidated Papers, retiring after 15 years in order to pursue his passion of farming. In 1981, Don and his brother Jim, purchased the family farm and enjoyed raising cattle, watching the hay fields bloom and caring for the land. Donald was a member of St. Mary Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and a 30 year plus member of the Schuman-Heink Chapter DAV #30. You could often find Don either in the barn or his truck with the radio playing loud Polka music. In his free time and after retiring from the farm, he still would play the Polka music loud, visit with friends but mostly loved being with his family.

Donald is survived by; his siblings, Lorraine Kluck of Stevens Point, Myron Meshak of Stevens Point, Jerome "Jerry" (Chari) Meshak of Plover, James (Pamela) Meshak of Stevens Point and Judy (Jim) Somers of Custer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Donnie was preceded in death by; his parents; and an infant brother, Norbert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of Mount Carmel - Fancher, 3995 County Road K, Amherst, WI 54406 at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 with Rev. Eric Mashak presiding. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery with Military Honors.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service on Thursday.

FAMILY REQUESTS THAT MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING BE OBSERVED AT THE CHURCH FOR THE VISITATION AND THE MASS. We sincerely encourage each person to make your decision whether to attend the visitation and Mass, based upon the best interest of your health and that of your community.
