Donald F. Wysocki, 86, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021. He was born on November 11, 1934 in Stevens Point, a son of Eugene and Veronica (Kruzitski) Wysocki.
Don married his loving wife of 66 years, Rita Zielinski, on August 27, 1955. He worked at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee and later, residing in Stevens Point, retiring from the City of Stevens Point.
Don was an active member of Saint Peter Parish. He loved to garden, especially growing his beautiful tulips and gladiolas. Donald loved his polka music! If there was a dance or church picnic, you could bet he had put on his dancing shoes! He treasured time with his family and Sunday breakfasts after mass were always a MUST.
Don is survived by; his wife Rita; seven children, Richard (Pat) Wysocki, Louise Makuski, Lori (Dale) DeSmith, Raymond (Christy) Wysocki, Lois (Paul) Glodowski, Renee (Rob) Kieliszewski and Michelle (John) Kowalski; he is further survived by eleven grandchildren, Melissa (Carey) Mullenberg, Amanda (Aja) Wysocki, LeAnne (Nick) Helbach, Sarah (Albin) Rowell, Devin DeSmith, Emily Wysocki, Leah Glodowski, NiKayla Glodowski, Brittany Kieliszewski, Cody Kowalski and Vanessa Kowalski; a sister, Helen Basinski; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by; his parents; son, Randall; brothers, John, Edmund and Stanley, infant brothers, Raymond, Joseph and Anthony; sisters, Margaret Megal and Arlene Smith.
Don will always be remembered for his sense of humor and wit, hardworking and a loving father. He enjoyed life to the fullest and celebrated everyday as if it was his birthday. He will be deeply missed and remain forever in our hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Peter Catholic Church, 800 4 th Ave., Stevens Point, at 10:30AM on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 with Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam presiding. Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a visitation in the Faustina Room of St. Peter Church on Tuesday, from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass. A Special Thanks, for the wonderful care from the Staff at North Crest Assisted Living. Don resided there the past 6 years and thought of the staff as his extended family. Thank you also, to Heartland Hospice, especially to Becky, for bringing him comfort in his time of need.
