Doris Barbara Gotski Napiwocki passed away on August 13, 2021 with her husband by her side. She was a remarkable and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to so many.
Doris was born on September 3, 1936 to the late Henry and Sophie Gotski.
Doris attended UWSP and earned her teaching degree. She taught grades one through eight at Kosciuszko School, a two-room school in the town of Guenther, WI. She met her husband Frank Napiwocki at a polka dance. They married two years later on August 3, 1957.
Doris retired from teaching and took on the role of a full-time mother. She raised her five children Wayne, Kevin (Renee), Cheryl (Randy), Donna (Dan - deceased) and Russell (Theresa) and taught them to be kind and compassionate. Doris and Frank traveled with their children every spring break to all parts of the United States. Their yearly summer camping trips were a must! She traveled the world with her husband to Spain, Poland and the Caribbean.
Doris returned to work as a cook at Pacelli High School for 25+ years where she showed off her talents of cooking and baking. She and her husband catered many parties with their famous pig roasts and she carried on the tradition of cooking Polish food for special events and holidays.
Doris continued to love and share her motherly traits to her six grandchildren Chad, Nicole, Kyle, Alex, Kayla, and Claire.
In her free time, Doris liked to read, work on crossword and jigsaw puzzles, sew, relax on her patio admiring her flowers and attend events where she could dance the night away to polkas. Mostly, Doris liked to be with her family and to take care of them.
Doris will be greatly missed, but we take solace knowing she is lovingly reunited with her family and friends who have welcomed her home.
We love you, forever in our hearts. Rest in Paradise.
