Earl James Hintz, age 58, of Rosholt, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Marshfield Medical Center – Weston, with his loving family at his side.
He was born on October 8, 1963, the eldest son of the late Chester and Elsie (Kielpinski) Hintz. He attended and graduated from Rosholt high school in 1982. That is where he met the love of his life, Kelly Rubey, and they were married in 1986 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church. They would have celebrated their 36 th anniversary this year.
Earl worked various jobs but, his career was at Green Bay Packaging, Wausau Division. He enjoyed working with everyone there and took great pride in being a Union Steward for Local 2-631. His career at GBP lasted 31 years.
In his free time Earl could be found outdoors; always doing something. He enjoyed planting food plots, trees, deer hunting, wood cutting and wood projects. From early years on, Earl raised various farm animals on his hobby farm. Spending time with family and friends was a great joy for Earl. His story telling (mostly true), would bring many laughs and smiles.
Earl is survived by his wife Kelly; children, Jessica Hintz of Stevens Point and Lukas Hintz (fiancée Jen Jacobson) of Green Bay; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; brother, LeRoy; parents-in-law, Lila and Kenneth Rubey; sisters-in-law, Tammy Hintz and Vicki Schneider; and a niece-in-law and two nephews-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, 173141 State Hwy. 153, Hatley, WI 54440 at 11:00AM on Friday, July 22, 2022 with Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at the church on Friday from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00AM.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Earl's name are encouraged to " Pay it forward to a local organization or to Someone in Need " or to " Plant a Tree, in Earl's memory ".
His family wishes to thank everyone who supported him during his cancer fight, Marshfield Medical Clinic Doctors and Staff, Father Gus and Sister Mary Ellen, and the many family and friends who gave of their time and resources. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten.
