Elaine K. Idsvoog

Elaine Idsvoog, age 79, of Plover, WI passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2024.  Elaine was born on December 28, 1944 to Einar and Edna Larson in Osseo, WI.  She graduated from Osseo High School in 1963 and went on to attend Career Academy for Medical-Dental Assistants in Milwaukee where she received her dental assistant certificate.

Elaine married her high school sweetheart Phil Idsvoog on August 19 1967, at United Church of Christ in Osseo, WI.  Elaine and Phil moved to Stevens Point, WI where they enjoyed raising their three children –Peter, Paul, and Jennifer.  Elaine worked for various dental offices, The Sky Club, The Agency advertising company and retired in 2004 after working in the attendance office at SPASH.  Elaine enjoyed reading, crocheting, golfing, playing bridge and riding the motorcycle with Phil.

Elaine's greatest joy was her family, and she couldn't have been happier when she became a grandmother.  She spent countless hours playing board games and working on puzzles with her granddaughter and three grandsons.   She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  Elaine's family will forever miss her kind and loving heart.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 56 years, Philip, who was a devoted and selfless caregiver throughout her illnesses. She is also survived by her brother, Eldon (Linda) Larson of Osseo; her children, Peter (Jennifer) of Wautoma, WI, Paul (Amy) Fresno, CA, and Jennifer (Josh) Grudem of Avondale, AZ; and her four grandchildren, Caroline (Andrew) Cunha, Gunnar Idsvoog, Jarod Grudem and Peter David Idsvoog.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Einar and Edna Larson.
A memorial service to honor Elaine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 20, 2024 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.
