Eleanor was 92 yrs old. Eleanor Grywacz was born February 19th 1932. She passed away on May 15th 2024. Her parents were Felix and Gertrude (Weirzba) Wrycza. Eleanor was born on the family farm at home in Galloway, WI in marathon county, WI
. She was the 7th child born of 10 children. She attended local schools, later moving to Milwaukee for work. She met her late husband Donald on a blind date. They were married on May 31st 1953 at St Agnes catholic church in Collon, WI. After marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point, WI.
Her husband Donald preceded her in death on July 21st 2010. Eleanor was a stay at home mom until her children were older. She then joined the workforce as a nurse's assistant at the Portage County health care Center in Stevens Point. She retired after 25 years of dedicated service. Eleanors faith was very important to her, she said 2 rosarys every day. Eleanor enjoyed Traveling, going on cruises, trips to Las Vegas, bingo nights, and Casino trips. She also loved cooking weekly meals for her family, even after they all grew up and moved away. She was an avid baker, great cook, and loved flowers. She was a member of the rosary society for over 60 years. In her later years, her daughter Judy was her primary care giver until she became a resident at Willow Brooke assisted living. She resided there for 5 years.

Survivors include: Daughter Judy, 3 grandchildren - Jessie Freeberg , Brandon Newby, Becky Yulga. 8 great grandchildren. Eleanor was the last surviving member of her siblings.Her daughter Charlotte Kenowski, Her Son Steven Grywacz her Son in law Edwin Kenowski and infant daughter Mary preceded her in Death. Survivors include: Sister in law Eleanor Grywacz, brother in law Gerald Grywacz, daughter Judy, grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial For Eleanor will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 10:30AM at St. Peter Catholic Church-800 Fourth Avenue Stevens Point. Visitation will be held in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter Catholic Church on Tuesday morning from 9:00AM until the time of service, with a rosary being prayed at 9:00AM. Rev. John Potaczek will be officiating. Burial will be held in the Guardian Angel Cemetery immediately following mass. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family.
