Ernest P. Worzalla

Ernest "Ernie" Worzalla, 88, of Stevens Point died on March 18, 2025.

Born on June 30, 1936 in Stevens Point WI, he was the son of the late Michael and Rose (Drewa) Worzalla.

On June 13, 1959 Ernest married the love of his life, Shirley (Shroda), at St. Peters Catholic Church.
They celebrated 65 years of marriage.

In his younger years, he grew up and worked on his parent's dairy farm. He later worked for and retired from UWSP as a grounds and maintenance worker giving 32 years of service.

His hobbies included deer hunting, trout fishing in the backyard creek, rabbit hunting with his dog Sam, and cutting and splitting firewood with his family. His more recent hobbies included attending church picnics with Shirley and listening to polkas, watching the news, and napping.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, and their children; Dan Worzalla, Denice (Jason) Gradeless, and David (Ann Marie) Worzalla. Sister, Rita Brzezinski, brother, Julius "Morey" (Diane) Worzalla, brother Roger (Marcy) Worzalla, and sister-in-law, Barbara Worzalla. He is further survived by his grandchildren; Nathan, Brandon, Dylan, and Brittany Worzalla, Jordan, Jared, and Caleb Gradeless, and Warren Worzalla. Great grandchildren; Audrey Worzalla and Caroline Gradeless.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Michael and Rose Worzalla. Brother, Ronald Worzalla, sister, Violet (Henry "Hank") Bronk, sister, Judith (Lawrence) Kluck, brother-in-law, John Brzezinski, and grandson, Tyler Worzalla.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ernest will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church-3200 Plover Rd. Plover, WI 54467. Fr. Arturo Vigueras will be officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30AM until the time of services. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery-1232 Wilshire Blvd Stevens Point, WI 54481 at 2:00PM.
