She enjoyed all the friends she met thru the years including the travelers going north who made their annual stop on the way. There were always new records on the jukebox, and she was quite a whistler. She could whistle any polka or song that would play, and the foot stomp along to the music. Evelyn and Adam would invite many friends and neighbors for venison feeds and homemade turtle soup in their earlier days. She loved going up north with family and friends at the cottage in Presque Isle on State Line Lake, where again met many new friends. They always were sure to take a bunch of fresh vegetables to treat their friends and relatives up north. Oh yes and she was a deer hunter with Adam and their grandchildren. Evelyn enjoyed Packer games, an occasional casino trip and enjoyed bingo.
When Evelyn was able, she always attended Sunday mass and said the rosary daily. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 6, a member of the Moose Lodge of Stevens Point and a 50-year member of the PCCW of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
