Florence D. " Flo" Karch

Of Stevens Point died early Thursday morning, June 24, 2021 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living Center.

Age 75 Florence was born December 10, 1945 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the Alois and Dorothy (Stachowiak) Krusa.

She attended local schools, graduating from P.J Jacobs High School in 1964.

Her marriage to Maurice "Morrie" Karch took place on August 12, 1967 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. Her husband Morrie survives.

Flo worked at St. Michaels Hospital in the business office for many years, before working at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point (UWSP) in the Records and Registration Office until her retirement in 2007.

Flo loved flowers, gardening, Polka music and anything lemon like lemon meringue pie and lemon martinis were especially her favorites. She also enjoyed watching her T.V shows such a Walker Texas Ranger and Knight Rider, and liked the challenge of putting puzzles together and doing crosswords.  Flo also enjoyed going on cruises in the 1990's with her family and friends and loved Victorian Décor as her favorite color was cranberry.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Florence's name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include her husband Morrie, one daughter Jennifer (Jim) Powell of Stevens Point, and her two grandchildren Ashley and Tyler Powell. Further survived by three sisters; Kathy Kluck of Nekoosa, Mary (Tom) Donermeyer of Washington and Gerri Quimby of Stevens Point and three brothers Paul (Linda) Krusa of Waupaca and James (Louise) Krusa and Brian (Joyce) Krusa both of Stevens Point.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters Marge, Corrine, and Carol

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Steve Brice officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. Thursday morning at the Family Parish Center of Holy Spirit Parish until the time for mass. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Maple Ridge Memory Care Facility for their dedication and love over the past year in her care.
