Frank H Szymanski, age 94, of Plover, passed away peacefully on Saturday Feb 26, 2022 with his loving family at his side.
Frank was born March 7, 1927 in the town of Carson to the late Joseph and Mary (Rybowski) Szymanski.
He entered the US Navy during WWII serving on the USS Siboney and was honorably discharged in 1946 receiving a Victory Metal.
He married his loving wife Mildred Lang on February 27, 1954 at St Philips Catholic Church in Rudolph. They had celebrated 66 year of marriage together. She passed away on May 15, 2020.
Frank was employed at Consolidated Paper Biron Division retiring after 35 years of service. He also owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Linwood with his wife Mildred. He kept the farm, crops and fields meticulous. After retirement Frank and Mildred moved to Plover. Frank was always working on a project. He had beautiful vegetable and flower gardens, had a green thumb, and had a knack of finding four leaf clovers. He enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino and watching Wheel of Fortune. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face and made him laugh.
He is survived by his children, Katherine (Richard) Isherwood, Stevens Point, Kenneth (Heidi), Stevens Point, Diane (Steve) Sowka, Plover, Donald (Valerie), Rudolph and Mary (Jeff) Glodowski, Stevens Point. Thirteen grandchildren: Jeni, Jimmy, Jessi, Stacey, Michael, Brian, Fern, Daniel, Christopher, Kyle, Becca, Andrew and Matthew; and twenty three great grandchildren. Further survived by his two sisters in law; Loretta Bikowski and Patricia Lang and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred, an infant son Joseph, his parents Joseph and Mary, and 8 siblings: brothers: Stanley, Walter, John, Tony and Joseph; sisters: Rose Kiran, Anna Sobczak and Regina Beranek.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday March 3, 2022, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 800 Fourth Avenue, Stevens Point. Rev. Todd Mlsna will officiate. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the St. Faustina room of St. Peter Church, on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the Mass. Full military honors will follow the funeral mass at the church. Burial will take place in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family.
