Frederick " Fred" D. Zivicki

Of Stevens Point passed away early Friday morning, January 10, 2025 while at the Portage County Health Care Center. Age 76 Fred was born August 2, 1948 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Leo and Bernadine (Lisiecki) Zivicki.

He attended St. Peters grade school, and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1966.

Fred joined  the United States Air Force in 1966. He served in Thailand at the Takhli Air Force base, in Okinawa at Kadena Air Force Base and South Korea at the Kwang Ju Air Force Base where he served as a Bomb loader on F-105 Fighter Bomber planes. He received the National Defense Ribbon, Expert Marksman medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the Good conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1970.

Fred worked for over 35 years at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in the University Book Store department until his retirement in 2005. In his free time Fred enjoyed the outdoors with hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his two sons; Curtis (Becky) Zivicki, Captain in the U.S. Army, MN,  and Alan Zivicki of  Hobe Sound, FL.,  one brother Ken (Linda) Zivicki of Stevens Point, and one sister Nancy (Randy)  Harbath of Green Bay.
