Gale "Buck" Brehm

Gale "Buck" Brehm 88, of Plover, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, at home on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

Gale was born on May 23, 1936 in Devils Lake ND, to Karl & Theresa (Ericksen) Brehm. He graduated from Churches Ferry HS and enlisted in the Air Force, where he was a crew chief on the island of Guam during the Korean War.

Gale married his HS sweetheart Lois Copeland in 1956 and was happily married for almost 68 yrs.

After the Air Force he worked for his family's farm equipment business in ND until moving his family to Waupaca in 1973. With his knowledge of the farming industry, Gale worked as a farm equipment sales rep & later worked for NAPA setting up new stores. He will be remembered for his strong faith and his love for his family.  One of his greatest blessings was to spend time with his 5 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren. Gale enjoyed watching sports and moved to Plover so he & Lois could attend their grandson's sporting events. Despite his failing eyesight he never missed a Packer or Brewer game. Gale loved coffee & was a member of the Romeo (retired old men eating out) Club with several of his friends.

He was reunited in Heaven with his daughter Lynette who passed in 2010.

Gale is survived by his wife Lois, son Rodney (Carol) Brehm of Marion, VA and daughter Galene (Al) Mancl of Stevens Point.

Visitation will be at Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Rd. Plover on Friday June 28, 2024 from 10:00-11:30AM. Service will follow officiated by Pastor Nathan Schroeder of Highlands Church.

Gale will be laid to rest at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Gale's name to either Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
