Gaudencia Worzalla

Gaudencia Worzalla, age 91, of Stevens Point, went to her eternal life Monday, October 2, 2023, at St Michaels Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born on August 31, 1932, in the Philippine Islands to the late Juan Guarino and Feliciana (Lago) Guarino. Gady married the late Jack Worzalla when he was in the U.S. Marine Corps and stationed in the Philippines. They moved to Stevens Point where they raised their family.  Gady attended MSTC where she acquired a business degree and a certification as a nursing assistant.  She became a smart and savvy business owner and owned a grocery store and multiple properties including rentals around Stevens Point.  She was the proud owner of the National Historical building known as "The Castle". Gady loved going to the Casinos, which she said was one of her favorite places to go as well as eating at china buffets. She worked for many years at Del Montes while she ran her rentals.

Gady also owned a company in Milwaukee called G. Guarino Eggrolls. In 1990 her eggroll shop won the title of Best Eggrolls in Wisconsin. She was a very generous kind hearted person who always helped her family here in America as well as relatives in the Philippines whom she missed dearly including her homeland of which she still has properties. Gady always believed in giving people a second chance which she had shown in many ways.

Survivors include daughters, Mari (Peter) Boris of Stevens Point, and Sue (Rob) Werwinski of Hartford; son, Jack Worzalla, Jr. of Genoa City; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her special friends: Dan Bolten, Dave Wochinski, Judy Hentges, Delia Kudronowicz, Norma Prince, Remy  Lanzaderas, Tony, Elizabeth Romo, their children, and Stephanie Manthe and children.

Mass Of Christian Burial for Gaudencia will be held at 10:30AM on Friday October 6, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church-800 4th Avenue, Stevens Point. Visitation will be held in the St. Peter Faustina room from 9:00AM until the time of service, with a rosary being held in the St. Peter Faustina Room starting at 9:15AM. Fr. Todd Mlsna will be officiating. Burial will follow immediately after mass in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
