Genevieve Moscinski

Genevieve Moscinski, 96, of Stevens Point passed away on Tuesday April 19, 2022, at Whispering Pines in Plover after a long battle with Alzheimer's and most recently cancer. She was under the care of Heartland Hospice.

Genevieve was born July 18, 1925, in Stevens Point, WI. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Woytasik) Wietrzykoski. Her marriage to Florian (Floyd) took place on April 27, 1957, at St. Peter Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point on 2 ^nd Street North.

Genevieve worked at Weber Tackle and was a devoted housewife. She enjoyed traveling to Michigan to visit family, going to casinos and church picnics. She was also an avid dog lover and would stop to pet any and all dogs that passed her by.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Genevieve's name will be established at a later date with proceeds going to the Portage County Humane Society, a place she loved and visited often.

Survivors include her one son, Kenneth (Sherri) of Sturgeon Bay and one granddaughter, Kendra (Josh) Peanasky of Brown Deer. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, three brothers and two sisters.

As per Genevieve's wishes and COVID, a private family funeral service was held. Burial took place at Guardian Angel Cemetery. The family would like to thank Atrium Assisted Living, Whispering Pines and their amazing staff, and Heartland Hospice for taking such great care of Genevieve in her final years.
