Gerald "Jerry" J. Repinski

Gerald "Jerry" J. (Joseph) Repinski, of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, February 3, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee at the age of 89. Gerald was born January 11, 1932 in Portage County. He was the son of the late Edward and Angeline (Wiza) Repinski. He attended St. Stanislaus Grade school and graduated from P. J. Jacobs High School.

On June 19, 1965, he married Dorothy M. Pliska at St. Peters Catholic Church. His wife Dorothy survives. He worked for Consolidated Papers in Stevens Point, retiring after 33 years.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy, their children Karen (Charles) Sopa, Alan Repinski and Lori (Richard) Casper. Their seven grandchildren:  Brittany (Kip) Gutke, Tyler Sopa, Marissa Sopa, Kaitlyn Sopa, Sarah Casper, Garrett Casper, and Gracie Casper, and two Great-Granddaughters Marley and Josie Gutke.

Also survived by his brother-in-law John Jakusz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Romona Zelewski,

his sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Jakusz, Delores Pliska and Bernice Pliska, his brothers-in-law; Ted Zelewski, Alfred, Conrad, and Daniel Pliska.

Jerry was a very accomplished, self-taught "Jerry of all Trades". He was a perfectionist and made sure whatever he did would be something he was proud of. Always available to help whenever someone needed it, his giving spirit was treasured. He was especially interested in deer hunting, fishing and loved the outdoors. He was very proud of taking  care of his lawn and it would be almost impossible to find a weed. Family was important and he enjoyed spending time with them – whether it was celebrating the holidays and birthdays or attending the grandchildren's various events.  His sense of humor was appreciated by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday February 10th, at St. Peters Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 9:00 until 10:15 a.m. at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 9:30AM.
