Geraldine "Gerry" Stuczynski

Geraldine "Gerry" Stuczynski, of Stevens Point passed away early Friday evening, August 19, 2022 at her home while under the care of Aspirus Home Care Hospice, with her loving family and her dog Trixie at her side following a long courageous battle with Scleroderma.

Age 69 Gerry was born January 27, 1953 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna (Kaminski) Hamerski. She attended local grade schools graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1971, which was the last graduating class from P.J. Jacobs as a high school before becoming a Jr. High.

Her marriage to Lawrence "Larry" Stuczynski took place on July 7, 1973 in Stevens Point.

Gerry grew up on Hamerski Farms. She worked on the farm since she was old enough to see over the grading table. She also worked cultivating and working in the field. She earlier worked at Hein Insurance Agency and Production Credit Associates before marrying Larry and helping build Stuczynski Trucking into what it is today.

In her free time Gerry enjoyed spending time at her place in Fort Myers Beach, FL., watching the Brewers, Packers and NASCAR, and had a love for animals.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Portage County Humane Society would be appreciated.

Survivors include her husband Larry, her son Joe, and daughter Jenny (Cory) Wojtalewicz and her two wonderful grandchildren Colton and Parker. Further survived by her sister-in-law Mary Hamerski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joseph Jr. and Donald, and three sisters Irene, Rita and Marlene.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 25, 2022 at St Bronislava Catholic Church. Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. Thursday morning at the church until the time for mass.
