Gladys L. "Bonnie" Lockman, age 83, of Plover, died Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living under the care of Compassus Hospice. Gladys was born on May 15, 1938 in DeSoto, a daughter of the late Edwin and Fae (Marshall) Sletten.
She attended area schools and worked on the family farm.
On August 10, 1968, she was united in marriage to Duane Lockman in Wisconsin Rapids. She was an avid Packer fan, loved listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash, watching Cardinals and Hummingbirds but being with her family, grandchildren and the "grand dogs and cat" gave her the greatest joy.
Bonnie is survived by; her daughters, Angela (Fidel) Silva, Evelyn (Brian) Buckles and Heather (JR) Wynne all of Stevens Point; 7 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Sally) Sletten; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by; her husband, Duane in 2008; great-grandson, Elliot; two brothers and one sister.
Family and friends will gather from 1pm-4 pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Community Room of Mission Village at 3446 Mission Lane, Plover to share condolences and stories of Bonnie's life.
Bonnie's family would like to thank the Oncology Department of Ascension St. Michaels Hospital with a special thank you to Hank and Maple Ridge Assisted Living staff. A special expression of love to Jamie (the 4 th daughter) for her love, care and compassion, that treated Gladys "like her mother" with the greeting, "Hey Lady".
