Gladys M. Wiza

Gladys M. Wiza, 78 of Stevens Point, died Sunday July 26, 2021, at the Portage County Health Care Center. She was under the care of Interim Hospice. Gladys was born on July 29, 1942, in the town of Sharon.

She was the daughter of the late Ben and Connie (Schulist) Wiza.

Gladys attended local schools and graduated from Rosholt High School  in  1960.

Gladys moved out to California in 1965 with Rose and Carol and stayed for 34 years. She worked 30 years for the Riverside Sheriff's department as a supervisor in Dispatching.

She enjoyed the California beach, birthday celebrations with her 11 California buddies that all celebrated on the same month. She loved her family and treated them with open arms. She loved cooking, Mexican food and traveling.

Survivors include her sister, Judy (Mike) Yenter of Rosholt. Brothers, Robert (special friend Ginny) of Texas, Don (Lorelei) of Stevens Point, Ronald (Mary), Leroy (Mary Jane), Sam (Cindy) and Gary (Sue), all of Rosholt.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Joan Wiza and nephew, Bradley.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Portage Co. Health Care Center staff for their exceptional care for Gladys.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday July 29, 2021 at the Pisarski Funeral Home 703 Second Street Stevens Point. Deacon Dick Rozumalski  will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Adalbert Cemetery Rosholt. Visitation on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
