Gloria Jean Sheveland, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
Born on September 2, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gloria was the beloved daughter of Hans and Hilda Holm, and sister of Susan Holm. She earned her degree in Business with a focus in Human Resources from the University of Milwaukee and went on to build a meaningful career dedicated to helping others thrive in their work and communities.
Gloria was married first to Eric R. Schueler III, and later to Richard G. Sheveland. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering support for her family.
She is survived by her children:
Eric R. Schueler IV (preceded in death by his wife, Kelly Schueler)
Susan L. Schueler Sheveland (married to Theresa McCraw)
Jean M. Mohr (married to Cory J. Mohr)
Step-mother of Michael Sheveland (Nina) and Larry Sheveland (Marcia)
Gloria also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Jamie Del Gaudio, Cody Sheveland, Tyler Sheveland (Kelly), Emily Sheveland, Max R. Schueler, Wil H. Schueler, Isaac T. Brown, Mason C. Mohr, Ensley G.J. Mohr, and Ellie J.S. Mohr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Hilda Holm, sister Susan Holm, spouse Eric Schueler III, and her daughter-in-law, Kelly Schueler.
Gloria had a deep love for reading, gardening, and traveling — passions that brought her joy and enriched the lives of those around her. Whether tending to her flowers, exploring new places, or sharing a favorite book, she found beauty in the everyday and inspired others to do the same.

The family extends a special thank you to Dimensions Living for all the wonderful caregivers and friends who supported and cared for Gloria along the way. Also, we would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for their special care of Gloria for the last several years.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
