Gregory Helminiak

Greg Helminiak died peacefully on May 21, 2021 at the age of 77. Greg was born in Stevens Point to George and Evelyn Helminiak on August 30, 1943.

He has been married for 54 years to Marie Prondzinski. Greg graduated from Pacelli in 1961, and immediately started working as a pressman for Worzalla Publishing for 43 years.

He loved carpentry, made a lot of his own furniture, carved many décor decoy ducks and loved his garden and the food dishes he could cook from his produce.

Greg is survived by his wife Marie, sons, Jeffery (Terri) Plover, Jamie (Kendra) and grandson James Patrick, Amherst , sister Janie (Robert L ) Zurawski and aunt Dorothy Bartkowiak.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dianne Beversdorf, brother in laws, Ron, Jerry, Mark Prondzinski.

A special thank you to the nurses at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau for the tender care they gave Greg this last week.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday May 26, 2021, at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Custer. Rev. Alan Guanella will officiate. Visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service AT THE CHURCH. Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary's cemetery.
