Harriet J. Zblewski, age 88 of Plover, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Lodge of Whispering Pines in Plover.
Harriet was born September 20, 1935 in Amherst Junction, a daughter of the late Ernest and Angeline (Herek) Zblewski.
She graduated from Amherst High School in 1953.
Her marriage to Alois Ceplina took place in 1957. They later divorced.
Harriet worked at the former Whiting Paper Mill, Erzingers and McCains Clothing Stores, Delta Dental and Triggs Grocery Store. She retired in 2010.
Harriet was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Rosary Society since 1963. She was a member of St. Peter's choir for funerals, she belonged to the Catholic Women's Club and the VFW. Harriet also volunteered regularly at the Lincoln Center.
She liked to read and play cards, enjoyed game shows and the Green Bay Packers. She would enjoy her monthly lunch outings with "the Family Bunch" and going to breakfast with the Trig's retirees.
She is survived by a son, Randy (Trina) Ceplina, of Lubbock, TX; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ceplina of Stevens Point; four grandchildren, Scott Ceplina of Stevens Point, Ted Ceplina of Madison, Melissa Larson of Stevens Point and Randi Rae'Anne (Matt) McCoy of Oklahoma City; great granddaughters, Cayla, Kiera and Halstyn; her brother, Henry (Diane) Zblewski of Stevens Point; nephew, Doug (Cindy) Zblewski and their family of Evansville, WI; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Harriet was preceded in death by her former husband, Alois "Bud" Ceplina; three sons, Rick in 2011, Dale in 2007 and Michael in 1997; great grandson, Connor in 2005; and her sister-in-law, Alice Zblewski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church, 800 4th Ave., Stevens Point, WI 54481 at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 with Rev. John Potaczek officiating. Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Wednesday in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter Church from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass.
