Helen L.  Peterson

Of  Plover passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving children at home where she peacefully slipped away. She was under the care of Compassus Hospice.

Age 86 Helen was born August 8, 1936 in Escanaba, MI. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Vardigan) Smokovich. Her marriage to James Lee Peterson took place on September 7, 1957 in Escanaba. After their marriage the couple settled in Milwaukee before moving to the Plover area.

Helen worked as a secretary at American Family Insurance. She was also a teacher's assistant and CCD teacher. She was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed her book club and going to concerts with her friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Helen's name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include her four children; Chris, Michael, Susan and Matthew, and her five grandchildren; Ashlyn, Zav, Katerina, Astria and Ally.
