Henry E. "Hank" Zywicki, age 96, of Stevens Point, died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at his home under the care of Aspirus Hospice with his loving wife at his side. Henry was born on August 25, 1925 in Rosholt, a son of the late Stephen and Victoria (Gilmeister) Zywicki. Hank attended local schools in the Rosholt area. After leaving school, he worked on the family farm and in November 1943 he enlisted in the United States Navy serving both European and Asiatic Theatres during WWII. Hank was Honorably discharged in December of 1945. Henry was married to Antoinette Trzebiatowski, she preceded him in death. On September 26, 1992 Hank was united in marriage to Linda Wydra at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Henry was employed as Warehouse Manager for Frito-Lay until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and the American Legion of Rosholt. Hank he was a generous man and had a passion for fishing year-round giving much of his catch to family and friends. He enjoyed church picnics, polka music and dancing. He was the best loving, patient and supporting husband.
He is survived by; his wife, Linda of Stevens Point; children, Wallace (Kathy) Zywicki of Junction City, Dennis Zywicki of Waukesha, Henrietta (Joe) Somers of Custer, Rosalie Zywicki of DeForest and Yvonne Zywicki of Sussex; 14 Grandchildren; 13 Great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by; his parents; his first wife, Antoinette; five brothers and five sisters; and daughter-in-law, Corrine Zywicki.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7375 Church St. Custer, WI 54423 on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:00AM with Rev. Mark Miller presiding. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be at the Church on Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of the mass.
