Irene E. Richter

Irene E. Richter, age 82, of Milwaukee, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Vitas Ruth Hospice House in West Allis.

Irene was born in the Town of Buena Vista, on January 10, 1941, a daughter of the late Edwin J. and Florence M. (Glisczynski) Biadasz.

She graduated from Amherst High School and continued her education in Madison, where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. While in Madison, she would write to her future husband every day, and on October 14, 1961, she was united in marriage to Raymond Richter at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher. For the next two years, Irene worked as an LPN at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. In June of 1963, the couple moved to Milwaukee and Irene began working at St. Francis Hospital where she worked for 41 years. Most of all, Irene was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time traveling to the farm in Rosholt, and working on various projects with her husband, Ray. She also loved her time in Milwaukee. She enjoyed time with friends, but most of all her daughter Judy, son-in-law Mike, and the absolute lights of her life, grandchildren Ray, Russ and Maggie.

Irene loved dancing and playing Bingo at church picnics. She enjoyed her trips to the casino, usually coming home with more than she lost. She was known for her Jello and Angel Food cakes. Living between Milwaukee and Rosholt, she was active in the Wednesday Morning Faith Group at Our Lady of Lourdes parish in Milwaukee, and spent many years tirelessly helping run the Country Store, and washing the fish fry towels at St Adalbert's parish. Irene lived a life of serving others with joy, and leaves a lasting legacy in the many lives she has touched.

Irene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Raymond; daughter, Judy (Michael) Arndorfer of Greendale, WI; grandchildren, Raymond, Russell and Margaret Arndorfer; brothers, Chester (Annette Zietlow) Biadasz of Plover and Raymond (Ramona) Biadasz of Rosholt; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 3315 St. Adalbert's Rd, Rosholt, WI 54473, at 11:00AM on Friday, June 9, 2023 with Reverend Thomas Nirappel presiding. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at the Church on Friday from 9:30AM until the time of the service.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Milwaukee at 6:00 PM with Father Bill Burkert presiding.
