James "Jimmy" B. Mozuch

James "Jimmy"  Mozuch

Of Stevens Point passed away Saturday afternoon February 10, 2024 at Gundersen Medical Center in La Crosse with his loving wife in his arms.  Age 71

Jim was born  August 11, 1952 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Bernard and Dorothy (Zimbauer) Mozuch. He attended local schools, graduating from

Pacelli High School in 1970. Jim entered the United States Army on September 14, 1970 in Milwaukee, WI. He served with the Batt. B 71st artillery. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Jim was honorably discharged on September 18, 1972, when then served four years in the United States Army Reserves completing his obligation on September 13, 1976.

His marriage to Kimberly Gaetz  took place on August 28, 2002 in Las Vegas, NV.

His wife Kimberly survives.

Jim was owner of Buffy's Lampoon Tavern on the market square since 1984, and was currently still operating the Bar. Jim was a member of Siasefi Fellowship for over 50 years, and was lifetime member of the VFW Plover Post 10262.

Jim was also a longtime member of the Portage County Tavern League as well as the Wisconsin Tavern League.

In his free time, he enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, trying his luck and gambling especially Black Jack and had a love for his five dogs

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established at a later date for Veterans.

Survivors include his wife Kimblery, his siblings Michael (Cheri) Mozuch of Brooklyn, WI, Diane (David ) Lorbecki of Stevens Point, Janice Hoff of Parker, CO., and Marilyn Mozuch of Denver, CO. along with numerous nieces and nephews. Further survived by his brother and sister-in-law Jonathan (Lena ) Gaetz of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Dorothy Mozuch, a brother-in-law Sam Hoff and his favorite dog Sapphire.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M on Saturday February 17, 2024 at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second St., Stevens Point. Deacon Jim Trzinski officiating.
