Jim graduated from Waukesha High School in 1969. In high school, Jim was on the rifle team and lent his talent as a photographer to the year-book staff. Jim loved the outdoors and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. In 1973, Jim graduated from UW-Stout with a degree in Graphic Arts, which led to a 40-year professional career in printing and supply chain management, 30 of those years working in Plover, WI.
He married Rosalyn (Lynn) Evans (nee Rake), on February 2, 1974. Jim and Lynn remained inseparable for the next 49 years. Jim's hobbies included driving his dream cars around town ('65 Stingray and '65 GTO), meticulously building and crafting model cars and ships from scratch, fishing at the family cottage in Waupaca, shooting his rifles at the range, attending football games at Lambeau Field, dining at his favorite restaurants, and visiting his children and grandchildren in Milwaukee and Kansas City.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lynn; his children Rebecca (Nick) Greene of Milwaukee and David (Leanna) Evans of Kansas City; his five grandchildren Nora, John, Evan, Cara and Kendall; and his loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews located across the country.
The Family would like to thank Jim's medical and hospice teams for their wonderful care, and all of the loving neighbors and friends who gave support and comfort throughout Jim's cancer battle.
