Janet E. Oligney

Janet Elaine Oligney, 91 of Plover, passed away peacefully in the evening of September 13, 2025.

Janet was a homemaker most of her life and did so while caring for her loving children. She also maintained various house cleaning jobs throughout her working life.

Janet enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She loved to bake and make canned goods. She especially enjoyed watching her soap operas.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Doug and Mike Oligney; her daughter, Robin Tiedt; and her brother, Keith Tracy.

Janet is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Gary Oligney of Stevens Point, Pam Wanta of Stevens Point, Wanda Jootsten (Doug) of Wisconsin Rapids, Roger Oligney of Nekoosa, Victor Oligney of Plover, and Dawn Dresden (Ryan) of Plover.

She is further survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters, Eleanor Wilke of Plover and Patricia Layne of Madison.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the hospice team of Stevens Point Aspirus for their compassionate care of Janet.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Janet at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 20 at Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover. Deacon Ray Heitzinger will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Meehan Cemetery, 1290 Club Forest Drive, Plover.
