Jean C. Heck

Jean Carole Heck, 62, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Stevens Point Aspirus Hospital.

Jean was born September 25, 1961, in Milwaukee to her father, Donald R. Heck and her late mother, Gertrude L. Petroske.

Jean enjoyed playing bingo, dominoes, card games, and going to social events. She loved to manipulate small objects such as puzzle pieces, poker chips and plastic pegs. Jean enjoyed challenging her friends at Yahtzee and connect 4.  In the summertime, she loved sitting outside on the swing watching the birds, playing kickball, writing on the chalkboard or simply eating lunch outside. In Jean's earlier years at Aurora, she loved attending many Brewer games, trips to Appleton and WI Dells.  She also loved attending community friend events, ice cream outings and shopping, especially Goodwill.

Jean was a collector and always on the lookout for clock radios, fire trucks, remotes, pencil boxes and keyboards. Cheetos were her favorite snack. Sitting by a real fire or fireplace was another favorite. While at 4U, Jean enjoyed being out in the community for Meals on Wheels. She went to Pallets & Planks, Clay Corner and Bison Ranch. Memory games, legos, arts and crafts and watching 'her' fish tank. She also attended church and loved participating in the Special Olympics. Jean enjoyed visits from her family.  She also attended church and had a love for our Lord Jesus Christ.  Jean will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jean is survived by her father Donald Heck; sister Joan and brother John (Maureen); sister Ellen; sister Dawn; step-brother Joe, step-sister Janel; nephew Johnny (Cortney), niece Sarah (Cole), nephew Tyler (Tiffani), niece Julie, nephew Justin (Brittney), nephews Nick and Kris; great-nieces and nephews, Chloe, Camden, James, Micah, Noah, Wren, and Willa and cousins.

Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Waidelich Petroske; her step-mother Beverly Heck; her brother, James; and her sister, Jane.

All are welcome to the Celebration of Life at Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point, WI 54481 from 11:00 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.   Burial will take place at Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander, WI on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, 1 PM. and officiated by Pastor Richard Miller from Saint Mark's Lutheran Church.
