Joan Josephine Lecher (Freda)

Peacefully passed away on Thursday January 13, 2022 at Ascension St. Michaels Hospital with her loving family at her side at age 86.

Joan's extraordinary journey through life began on Grandma Josephine Tork's  farm  to Raymond and Suzanne Freda. She was the youngest child with siblings Rita and Clifford. Moving to Northern and eventually Central Wisconsin, she married Ronald Lecher after graduating high school with honors in 1953.

They had six children; Timothy (Dawn, Mary), Lizabeth (Arvin) Kathleen (Michal, George), Lance (Cynthia), Christine (Steven, Scott, David), and Joseph (Jowell).

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughters Lizabeth and Christine, one grandson Lance, one brother Clifford and her mother and father Suzanne and Raymond.

Joan lived her life with a smile on her face and a loving heart. She welcomed many families and friends into her home. She was an avid crafter as well as enjoying bingo and card playing. She also enjoyed a multitude of trips and vacations with family and friends.

She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by her surviving grandchildren; Suzanne, Jasen, Shawn, Adam, David, Daniel and Ronni Jo. Her fleeting time will be cherished by her great grandchildren; Acoya, Shawn, James, Chaston, Camery, Emmitt, Kayla, Taylor, Cheyanne, Bridget, Lance, Jenny, William and Gianna, as well and numerous great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday January 21, 2022 at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point. Deacon Ray Heitzinger officiating. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 A.M. Friday morning at the Funeral Home until the time of services. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
